LC or not LC, that’s not an important question

Recently, Queensland Chief Health Officer finished a study, saying that long COVID does not exist, and that the sequelae are actually no different from other diseases. Some contents of this study may be correct (for example, fatigue, vomiting, dizziness, rib pain, etc. are common symptoms in traditional Chinese medicine and are easy to treat), but the conclusion is wrong (when you are suffering from long COVID, you naturally know this), and it shows people how ridiculous results may be obtained by using rigorous research methods.

However, this study has given a new revelation, that is, although under the current regulations, traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) doctors in Western countries cannot say that they can treat COVID-related diseases, they may claim that they can treat a variety of long COVID symptoms without saying the word ”COVID”.

In fact, I personally have posted posts in different FB groups since 2022, inviting long COVID patients in the group to use herbal medicine. But at that time, I was just recommending traditional Chinese medicines on Amazon. Later, in 2023, I realized that most of the time, the patent medicines on Amazon cannot meet the needs of patients (patients may need highly customized herbal combinations, and it is impossible to get such personalized medicine in Amazon), so I changed the way to contact Chinese Internet hospitals on behalf of patients. Doctors can give prescriptions after online consultation, pharmaceutical factories will mix the purified herbal powder according to the prescriptions, and finally I will send the herbal powder to the patient in USA.

But it turned out that although this model of remote diagnose and treatment is feasible (so far it has helped three people, and two of them got improvement, you can visit this link for more details), it is difficult to promote. The main obstacle is the difficulty of gaining users’ trust. For example: An Indian girl in the United States recently contacted us. She was suspicious of every word I said and every link I sent. She think that I was inducing her to click on a link in order to hack into her computer and steal sensitive information, etc. And she finally went to a local Chinese medicine doctor instead. So we finally realized that the remote diagnosis and treatment model was not practical.

But thanks to this Indian girl, we got an important revelation: the more feasible way is to introduce local doctors to long COVID patients. Obviously, with this approach, patients no longer need to worry that the doctor is actually a scammer. This removes the biggest obstacle. However, there is still a problem with this model, which is that existing regulations prohibit TCM doctors from saying that they can treat COVID-related diseases. (In the past, it was also because of this that we did not recommend local TCM doctors for Western patients).

Then the report from Queensland Chief Health Officer came in time. Inspired by the report, we figure out how to solve the regulatory problem. This is: our website can carry out propaganda, telling patients that traditional Chinese medicine can treat long COVID, and provide relevant background knowledge and a list of doctors with successful cases. Then when the patient goes for consultation, the local TCM doctor does not need to tell the patient whether they can treat long COVID or not. The patient only needs to tell them their current symptoms, and then the doctor will answer whether it is possible to get improvement after taking medicine or acupuncture. Neither the patient nor the doctor needs to mention COVID during the process, that is to say, LC or NOT LC, that is not an important question at all:)

We believe this will remove all regulatory barriers for local TCM doctors and can help as many patients as possible.
